Apadilangit Space Academy, bringing Malaysian children closer to space
From Space Camp Artemis to online astronomy classes, Apadilangit brings space science closer to children. Its collaboration with MEASAT is also sending students' postcards to space.

Apadilangit Space Academy is a Malaysian provider of space science and technology education, with programmes aimed at children and students. Its name comes from apa di langit, Malay for "what is in the sky", which sums up the question it sets out to answer.
Programmes for young space explorers
Through its academy registration page, Apadilangit offers several kinds of programmes throughout this year:
| Programme | Format |
|---|---|
| Space Camp Artemis | In-person space camp, including sessions at UMK and in Petaling Jaya |
| Young Space Explorer | Online astronomy classes for children aged 6 to 13 |
Online classes such as Young Space Explorer let children from all over the country learn about the moon and objects in the sky without leaving home, while the space camps give them a hands-on experience.
Collaboration with MEASAT
On 24 November 2025, satellite company MEASAT Global Berhad announced a new collaboration with Apadilangit Space Academy, as part of its efforts to raise awareness of space science and technology. In its media statement, MEASAT described Apadilangit as one of Malaysia's leading space and technology education providers.
The collaboration started with the Malaysia Space Dream initiative. Students and members of the media at MEASAT took part in a Postcard to Space activity: they designed postcards using AI, and the postcards will be flown to the edge of space through Blue Origin's Club for the Future programme.
For a child, knowing that a postcard they made will reach space is hard to forget, and it may be the start of a lifelong interest in science.
How to join
The latest programme schedule and registration are on Apadilangit's academy site and its official social media accounts. MEASAT's full statement on the collaboration is in the MEASAT newsroom.
