New Muslims Community plans Open Day, everyone invited
New Muslims Community is planning an Open Day for everyone: new Muslims, their families, and anyone who wants to get to know Islam. The date will be announced.
New Muslims Community (NMC) is planning an Open Day, and everyone is invited. The date, time and venue have not been announced yet. This article will be updated as soon as official details are shared.
About New Muslims Community
NMC is a community under Al Khaadem that supports new Muslims (people who have recently embraced Islam) from their very first step. According to its official website, NMC's services cover:
| Service | Who it is for |
|---|---|
| Basic classes, including The Foundations of Islam | New Muslims, those born Muslim, and anyone who wants to learn |
| Consultations about Islam | People who are not yet Muslim but have questions |
| Marriage and family consultations | Couples and families of new Muslims |
| Conversion to Islam, tahnik and cukur jambul (rites for newborns) | Individuals and families |
| Community service, events and programmes | Everyone |
As NMC itself stresses, the community runs all year round, not one day a year.
What to expect at the Open Day
The Open Day is a chance to drop by with no commitment: meet the team and volunteers, see the classes and programmes on offer for yourself, and ask anything about Islam in a relaxed setting.
Photos from an earlier NMC Open Day give a sense of the atmosphere: stalls under tents, light refreshments, and long conversations between visitors and volunteers.
Who is invited
Everyone. The Open Day is a good fit for:
- new Muslims looking for a community and classes that suit them
- family and friends of new Muslims who want to understand their journey
- anyone who wants to get to know Islam and has questions they have kept to themselves
- Muslims who want to help, including as volunteers, as NMC is looking for volunteers who can commit their time
How to get the details
The date, time and venue will be announced by New Muslims Community. Follow its official website at newmuslims.co and its Instagram account @newmuslimscommunity for the latest announcements.
