Apple Welcome Home event on 13 October, Malaysia time and what to expect
Apple's Welcome Home event on Tuesday, 13 October is expected to start at 9pm Malaysia time. Here is what to expect, including a smart home hub and a new Apple TV 4K and HomePod mini.

Apple will hold a "Welcome Home" event on Tuesday, 13 October 2026. Apple's senior vice president of worldwide marketing, Greg Joswiak, announced it on X on 8 October with an embroidered Apple logo and the message "Welcome home. October 13."
What time is the Apple event in Malaysia
The invitation sent to the media mentions an "Apple Experience" session in Tribeca, New York, at 9am, reportedly US Eastern Time (ET). If that is right, it works out to:
| Time zone | Time |
|---|---|
| New York (ET) | 9am, Tuesday 13 October |
| California (PT) | 6am, Tuesday 13 October |
| Malaysia (MYT) | 9pm, Tuesday 13 October |
Apple itself has not confirmed the time zone in its public announcement.
Will the event be livestreamed
Not confirmed yet. This is not the usual keynote at Apple Park in Cupertino. It is an Apple Experience session in New York, focused more on demos for the media. Bloomberg reported that the event will come with an online video, but Apple has not announced a livestream. If there is one, it can usually be watched on Apple's website and Apple's YouTube channel.
What Apple is expected to launch
Apple has not named any products. Reports, mainly from Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, expect a focus on the smart home:
- A smart home hub with a screen, about six inches square, in tabletop and wall-mounted versions. Reports give it different names, including "HomePad" and "HomeView". Gurman reported that it will ship around mid-November.
- A new Apple TV 4K.
- A new HomePod mini.
According to Gurman, the new Apple TV 4K and HomePod mini will reach customers and stores on 30 October.
A second Apple event on 27 October
Bloomberg reported that Apple is planning two sets of launches in October. The second is expected in the last week of October, with reports pointing to 27 October. Rumoured products include a 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M6 chip, an M6 iMac and a MacBook model with an OLED display. Apple has not confirmed this second event.
When will they go on sale in Malaysia
Apple has not announced Malaysian prices or sale dates for any product. We will update this article after the event, including Malaysian prices if they are announced.
