- SKPS (subsidised petrol): RM2.05 a litre
- SKDS (subsidised diesel): RM2.15 a litre

What the ministry said
The Finance Ministry said signs that regional refined fuel supplies are recovering support the local price cut. It said China has allowed fuel exports again for October and South Korea continues to supply regional markets, even though Brent crude stays above US$100 a barrel.
The ministry also warned that the widening conflict in West Asia, including attacks in Saudi Arabia last week, raises the risk of supply disruptions and further price increases. It expects volatility to persist in the medium term.
As announced in Budget 2027, the government expects to spend RM40 billion on fuel subsidies next year, the ministry added. It urged the public to conserve fuel and plan trips efficiently. More on the Budget's subsidies and other aid is in Budget 2027, what changes for your wallet.
What it means for you
Drivers who buy RON95 with their MyKad under BUDI95 will not feel this change, as their price stays at RM1.99. The cut applies only to buyers of RON97, unsubsidised RON95 and unsubsidised diesel. The next prices should be announced before 22 October, as the current rates are valid until 21 October.
