When BKK 2027 is paid, RM1,500 for civil servants and RM750 for pensioners
BKK 2027: RM1,500 for civil servants and RM750 for pensioners, paid twice. Here is who qualifies, when it is paid and whether you need to apply.

The government will pay civil servants RM1,500 in special financial assistance, or Bantuan Khas Kewangan (BKK), and government pensioners RM750 in 2027. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced it while tabling Budget 2027 in the Dewan Rakyat on Friday, 9 October, Sinar Harian reported.
Who qualifies for BKK 2027 and how much
| Group | Amount | Estimated recipients |
|---|---|---|
| Civil servants in Gred Utama B and below, including contract appointees | RM1,500 | 1.3 million |
| Government pensioners, including pensioned and non-pensioned veterans | RM750 | More than 1 million |
| KAFA teachers, takmir teachers, imams, bilal, tok siak, noja and marbut | RM750 (special contribution) | About 70,000 |
The third group are those who serve in Islamic religious institutions across the country. For them, the payment is described as a special contribution, not BKK.
When BKK 2027 will be paid
Anwar said BKK will be paid twice:
- before Aidilfitri 2027, and
- on the eve of seven decades of independence, ahead of the 70th anniversary of independence in August 2027.
How much each payment will be, and the exact dates, have not been announced.
Do you need to apply for BKK
Reports of the budget speech do not mention any application. In previous years, BKK was credited directly along with salaries and pensions. Wait for the official circular from the Finance Ministry or JPA (the Public Service Department) for the full conditions, including how it applies to civil servants on unpaid leave or newly appointed staff.
What we don't know yet
- The exact date of each payment.
- Whether the RM1,500 is split equally between the two payments.
- Detailed eligibility rules, including which appointment or retirement dates count.
We will update this article when the circular is issued.
