Loke: No reason to delay new Negeri Sembilan excos
Loke says the Negeri Sembilan government has no reason to delay naming new excos, after the appointments of all 10 exco members were revoked.

DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke said the Negeri Sembilan government has no reason to put off appointing new state executive councillors, Malaysiakini reported on Sunday, 11 October 2026.
The state now has only one member on its executive council, Menteri Besar Datuk Ismail Lasim, after the appointments of all 10 exco members were revoked.
What happened
According to Malaysiakini, on 16 September the state exco declared valid a proclamation to replace the Yang di-Pertuan Besar, Tuanku Muhriz, with Tunku Nadzaruddin Tuanku Ja'afar, who is backed by a faction of territorial chieftains. The proclamation was never gazetted. Tuanku Muhriz then revoked the appointments of all 10 exco members.
What Loke said
Loke called it unusual for a state government to have a menteri besar but no excos. The administration cannot run properly, he said, because many decisions have to be approved at exco meetings. He noted that BN still has a majority in the state assembly.
At the DAP convention, Loke said the party has never interfered in customary matters despite the accusations against it. He told DAP to be ready for any outcome, including a fresh election.
Malay Mail reported that Loke also said the crisis was not of DAP's making, since the party is no longer in the state government.
