PKR eyes eight to nine seats in Melaka state election
PKR wants to contest eight to nine seats in the Melaka election, including Machap, Ayer Keroh and Rembia. PH names its candidates on 18 October.

PKR is aiming to contest eight to nine seats in the Melaka state election on 14 November, including Machap, Ayer Keroh and Rembia, FMT reported on Sunday, 11 October 2026.
The Prime Minister's political secretary, Azman Abidin, said Pakatan Harapan (PH) would announce its candidates on 18 October. The remaining seats will go to PH's other parties.
How many seats for PH
PH is expected to contest 18 to 21 of Melaka's 28 state seats. That figure still needs the PH presidential council's approval, FMT reported.
The coalition's parties don't yet agree on strategy. Melaka DAP chief Khoo Poay Tiong said PH is going solo this time and that DAP is targeting eight seats. Melaka PKR chief Adam Adli said no decision had been made on any pact and that all decisions would be made as PH. PH election director Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari said the coalition is still open to electoral pacts, with the final say resting with the presidential council, FMT reported on 9 October.
