Mat Sabu tells Melaka voters to learn from Negeri Sembilan crisis
Mat Sabu urged Melaka voters to back PH on 14 November, pointing to the Negeri Sembilan crisis he says BN started in April.

Amanah president Mohamad Sabu urged Melaka voters to back Pakatan Harapan (PH) in the state election on 14 November, pointing to the political crisis in Negeri Sembilan, FMT reported on Friday, 9 October 2026.
What Mat Sabu said
He said Barisan Nasional (BN) started the Negeri Sembilan crisis in April by withdrawing support from then Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun. Mohamad Sabu compared it to the 2020 Sheraton Move, which brought down the PH federal government.
He asked Melaka voters to learn from what happened there and give PH the chance to run Melaka again.
Pact or go solo
PH has yet to decide whether to form an electoral pact or go it alone in Melaka, FMT reported. BN and Perikatan Nasional are also looking for partners.
Melaka DAP chief Khoo Poay Tiong has said PH will go solo, but Melaka PKR chief Adam Adli said no decision has been made. The final call lies with the PH presidential council.
What's next
PH is due to name its candidates on 18 October. Nomination is on 31 October, early voting on 10 November and polling on 14 November.
